Consult Middle East (CME) is an Australian entertainment consultancy, that specialises in the design and development of new age Entertainment offerings. CME is led by Cameron Mitchell, an Entertainment professional who has worked in the cinema and entertainment industry for over 25 years, both in Australia and the Middle East.
Cameron Mitchell is the former CEO of Majid Al Futtaim Leisure, Entertainment and Cinemas, the entertainment arm of Majid Al Futtaim, the leading shopping malls, retail and entertainment conglomerate in the MENA.
The business delighted over 200 million cinema guests with the cinema circuit expanding from 40 screens (1 country) to 620 screens (8 countries), with hundreds more screens under development. During Cameron’s tenure, the company produced movies, distributed hundreds of films, partnering with the some of the world’s most renowned studios including 20th Century Fox, and more recently Warner Bros International. VOX Cinemas has proudly led the development of cinemas regionally, setting standards globally, relaunching cinema across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with the VOX team’s effort consequently being recognised by Cinemacon in 2017 when the VOX Cinemas was awarded the Global Achievement In Exhibition Award, recognising VOX Cinemas and the world’s leading cinema exhibitor.
From 2017, Cameron additionally oversaw Majid Al Futtaim’s Leisure businesses, where the team refined the Leisure portfolio, launching Dreamscape VR in the Middle East, evolving Magic Planet and Yalla Bowling brands and overseeing Ski Dubai & Ski Egypt and Majid Al Futtaim’s Global Snow business’s global aspirations. The Majid Al Futtaim Global Snow team were crowned the world’s leading indoors now experience for five consecutive years, again highlighting the exceptional standard of experience that exists in the Middle East and across the Majid Al Futtaim suite of businesses.
Cameron established Consult Middle East in 2021 after returning to Australia from a successful 14 year career in the Middle East.
